Tomshardware 벤치마크는 이론상인지 정말 계측된 MAX 값인지 모호해서 신뢰할만 하지 않지만
아무튼.. 15K 서버용 하드들은 168~350MB/s
1T급 데스크탑용 하드들은 160~200MB/s 정도의 속도를 낸다.

중고로 구매한 하드가 10000rpm 인데 80MB/s 겨우 최대값을 찍는것에 비하면
놀라운 발전인것 같기도 하고 벤치마크 뻥튀기 같기도 하고..

아무튼 대충 정리하면
아래와 같이 그래프가 정리되고(그래프 그리기 힘들어서 대충 OTL)
이제는 퇴물이 되어버린 EIDE(PATA)를 제외한
SCSI/SAS와 SATA의 경우 최대 대역폭은 600MB/s 정도로 거의 비슷한 수준이다.

아무튼 이러한 대역폭을 제대로 쓰기 위해서는
역시 과거의 유물(?) 인 PCI로는 어림도 없으며(일반적인 PC의 PCI는 32bit*33Mhz=133MB/s)
서버에서 주로 쓰이는 PCI-X 정도는 되어야 겨우 커버가 된다.
그나마 PCI-X 100Mhz가 2개 달린게 많아서 그나마 다행..
(아무튼 PCI-Express는 정말 이에 비하면 넘사벽이지만, SLI가 아닌이상 2개 이상 달린게 드물다는 단점이..)

정식서버/정식서버 케이스다 보니 신기한 용어 속출 -_-

SSI-EEB는 Xeon 플랫폼을 위한 케이스를 지칭한다.
NMI는 스위치 형태로 존재한다.

특이점(?) 은 NMI 용 스위치가 전면에 있다는거(아마도 하드웨어 문제라고 강제로 설정하는 버튼인듯)
그리고 일반적인 PC와는 다르게 랜이나 하드등의 LED가 전면에 보이고
이러한 것에 대한 케이블이 헤더가 아닌 리본 케이블로 연결이 된다는 점이다.

Xeon 3.0Ghz x 2 워크스테이션

CPU는 일단 Nocona(조사해보니 펜티엄4 프레스캇의 Xeon 버전이라고 하던디)
HT를 지원하는듯 하고(작업관리자에서 4개 뜬다)
64bit도 지원인가? (EM64T가 64 비트 맞나?)

메모리는 DDR1에 ECC/REG/unbufferd PC2700

등급이 낮은건 내장 그래픽 때문임 -_-
아무튼, 메인보드에 원래 랜카드가 2개인데 추가로 예전에 구매했던
Intel Pro/1000 Dual Server Ethernet 장착!
그런 이유로 랜카드 4개의 위ㅋ엄ㅋ

하드는 SCSI Ultra320 147GB 인데
솔찍히 다른 하드랑 비교를 안해봐서 빠른건지 느린건지 모르겠다.
아무튼 덕분에 SCSI 장비도 만져보고 신기해 하는중 -ㅁ-!

RAID로 묶어야지 듀얼 채널을 묶어서 버텨줄듯

서버 하나 지름으로서 죽어가던(?) PCI-X 하나와 지를 PCI-X 의 용도가 확정되었다!
그나저나.. 소리가 시끄러운건.. 서버(혹은 워크스테이션)의 종특인듯..

개인적으로 사용하고 있던 키보드는 iRocks KR-6300 이다.
(하지만 멸종당해서 같은 품명인 KR-6300 frog 라는 넘과 병행 사용)

아무튼, 예전에 받아온거 한번 큰 맘(?) 먹고 써볼려고 꺼냈는데
아이락스 키보드에 적응이 되고 가벼운 싸구려 마우스에 적응이 되서인지
이래저래 마음에 안드는 부분만 보인다.

마음에 안드는 부분으로는
1. F1~F11의 키감 / 크기 위치 마음에 안들어!
   Ctrl -F4 로 창을 닫는데 많이 쓰이는 녀석인데 F키들이 동일 간격으로 떨어져 있고(익숙함의 차이)
   작은데다가, 반발력이 세서 누르는데 힘이 많이 들어간다.
    게다가, F 키를 누르려면 이상한 키를 눌러줘야 한다. 아니 F키가 기본이 되어야 하는거 아냐?!?!

2. 키보드 곡률이 달라서 손목에 힘에 힘이 들어가자나!
    손목을 완전히 펴고 힘없이 타자를 하는 스타일이라서 손목 받침대(?)가 추가 된것이 저~~~언혀 반갑지 않고
    게다가 asdf 라인이 안으로 움푹 들어간 곡선을 그리는 문제로 인해 은근 타자가 힘들다.

    사진을 보면 키보드의 시작 높이 부터가 다르고, 상대적으로 중앙이 낮게 구성되어 있다.

    사진에서 보이듯이 상승을 하다가 중앙에만 푹~ 꺼져 버리는 반면
    이에 반해 아이락스 키보드는 같은 각도로 상승을 한다.

3. 으아 마우스 드럽게 크네!
    손이 큰편은 아니지만 작은 마우스에 익숙해진데다가 AA 건전지 2개의 무게로 인해 묵직~한 느낌이다. 

4. 휠이 부드러워!!!!
    개인 취향이지만 딱딱딱 끊어지는게 아니라 멈추지 않고 스스스~ 움직이는 휠이라서 멈출수가 없어!!!


하지만 마음에 드는 부분도 있는데
1. 오오 프로그래머를 위한 배려 계산기!!
    누르면 한번에 계산기가 실행된다!!!!!

2. 유리가 깔린 책상에서도 작동되는 마우스!
    사진을 보면 보이겠지만, 유리가 깔리고 그 아래 녹색 부직포가 있는 환경인데 마우스가 잘 따라다닌다



익숙함의 차이도 있겠지만 개인적으로는 iRock 키보드에 더 마음에 든다.

물론 기본적인 키감이나 마우스의 촉감은 매우 좋은 편이지만
Win7 최적화 이고, 배터리 내장형으로 인해 무게나 크기가 무시 못하고
개발자와 친근한 키들이 보조로 밀려나는 컨셉상의 차이로 인해 쉽사리 친근해지기는 어려운 감이 없진 않다.

결론 : 그냥 난 싸구려 키보드가 좋음 ㅋㅋ

apcsmart An APCSmart UPS and its computer communicate through an RS232C serial connection. UPS로 유명한 APC 사의 녀석과
여러가지 제품을 아우르는 NUT(Network Ups Tool)이 존재한다.

아무튼 생각외로 다양한 구성으로 UPS를 구성을 할 수 있고 이러한 구성은 network를 통해서 이루어진다.
(마스터 PC에 UPS 시리얼 케이블을 연결하고, 전원관리를 하며 네트워크를 통해 다른 PC들을 끄는 식으로 구성됨)

이녀석들의 정식명칭이 먼진 모르겠지만.. 아무튼
장비를 시리얼을 통해서 설정할수 있도록 하는 콘솔 케이블의 결선도이다.

사정이 있어 더미포트가 필요한데.. 요즘에는 죄다 단종이라 구할수가 없다.
그런 이유로 머리를 굴리다가, 관리용 허브에서는 어떻게 되지 않을까 메뉴얼을 보다가

VLAN과 broadcast strorm 그리고 mirroring이 보였다.

오홍? 미러링 그럴싸한데? 하고 허브에 접속해서 보니 헐 이게머야 -_-

도움말을 보니 Monitor와 Mirror로 설정을 해주어야 하고
Monitor는 스니핑을 할 포트, Mirror는 엿듣김을 당하게 될 포트 이다.

Select port type Defines the port that will be the monitor port (destination port) and the port that will be mirrored (source port). The possible values are: Monitor --- Defines the port as the monitor port, the destination port. Mirror --- Defines the port as a mirrored port (source port) to be monitored and indicates the traffic direction to be monitored. The possible values are: Mirror In --- Enables port mirroring on ingress traffic. Mirror Out --- Enables port mirroring on egress traffic. Select port Selects the port for mirroring or monitoring. A port unavailable for mirroring is colored grey. Summary --- Displays the current monitor and mirror port. The fields displayed are: Monitor --- Displays the monitor port. Mirror In --- Displays the ports monitored for ingress traffic. Mirror Out --- Displays the ports monitored for egress traffic.

시험적으로 위와 같이 설정을 하면. 그 포트에서 주고 받는 내용이 그대로 복제되어
wireshark에서 들을수 있지만, 인터넷이 안되는 부작용이 생긴다 -_-
설정상의 문제인지 아무튼... 인터넷 선이 꼽힌 포트를 같이 Mirror로 설정해주면 해결된다.
