IEEE 1394 속도 벤치마크 관련문서들

IEEE1394를 이용한 TCP/IP 네트워크는 cpu 부담도 좀 센편인듯 하지만..
그걸 떠나서, 아무래도 생각보다 성능이 안나오는 이유는
1394의 half-duplex 특성과 TCP의 주고받는 특성이 겹쳐서 그런게 아닐까 생각이 된다.

네이버 블로그 글은 20MBps
kldp 글에서는 17MBps
티스토리 글에서는 33.8MBps (270Mbps)
Firenetbench 에서는 60~80MB/s 의 속도를 내는데 (1394b)

조사를 해보니 1394 / 1394a / 1394b 에 따라서 속도도 다르다 보니
신뢰할 만한 속도에 대한 결과가 보이질 않는다.

VISTA에서는 어떤 이유에서인진 모르지만 Firewire를 통한 TCP/IP를 지원하지 않는다고 한다.

우분투에서 게임을 받다보니 openGL/SDL 이라는 문구 발견!


먼가 해서 찾아보니
멀티미디어 프레임워크로 3d/2d/각종 입력/오디오 출력 등을 지원한다고 한다.

ethtool - 리눅스에서 네트워크 링크 상태 / 속도 확인하기

물론 socket을 건드려야 해서 root 권한으로 해야만 원하는 값을 얻을수 있다.

ubuntu motd

/etc/motd 를 통해 로그인 시에 메시지가 출력되는데
업데이트 하는 방법은 update-motd 라는 명령어를 이용하는데
문제는(?) 이 motd 파일이 언제 업제이트 되는지 라는 것.
아무리 뒤져봐도 영 안보이는데 어디서 어떻게 업데이트 되는거니~ -_-
