MUI(다국어 사용자 인터페이스) 팩은 Windows 7 Ultimate 및 Windows 7 Enterprise Edition에서 지원되며 사용이 허가되고 사용할 수 있습니다. 이러한 언어 파일이 다른 버전의 Windows 7에 있는 경우 Windows 정품 기술은 시스템 훼손을 감지한 후 "이 Windows는 정품이 아닙니다."라는 경고 메시지를 표시합니다.   [링크 : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2105247/ko]

아무튼, 아쉬운 점은 Format 과 Language가 독립적으로 설정을 해야 한다는 점이다.
물론 둘이 따로 움직여야 할 필요도 있지만 언어를 바꾸면 Format도 그 언어에 맞추어 바뀌고
그 이후에 개별 설정이 가능했으면 하는 아쉬움이 남는다.

Step 1. 업데이트에서 언어팩을 선택하거나

 Step 2. 혹은 "지역 및 언어설정" 에서 언어 설치를 선택하여 설치후, 표시할 언어를 변경하고

Step 3. 포맷을 변경한다. 포맷은 시작표시줄의 시계에 가장 잘 드러난다.

언어를 변경하면 리부팅 없이, 로그오프 후 다시 로그인하면 바로 변경이 적용된다.

추가로 검색을 해보니
VISTA는 하나의 언어를 선택을 할 수 있지만, 동시에 여러개 언어를 사용하는건 Ultimate / Enterprise 뿐이다.
(Win7은 설치시 사용할 언어를 물어보지 않았지만, VISTA는 설치시 사용할 언어를 물어본다.)

Limitations of language packs Licensing requirements state that versions of the Windows Vista operating system can include only a single language, with the exception of the Windows Vista® Ultimate and the Windows Vista® Enterprise editions. For editions other than Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows will automatically remove all non-default languages from the computer after the end user completes the Windows Welcome. After installing a language pack, you must recreate the Lang.ini file in your Windows distribution. Lang.ini specifies the languages available in a Windows image. The Lang.ini file specifies the default language to use during Windows Setup. To update the Lang.ini file, use the Intlcfg.exe tool. In upgrade scenarios, you cannot upgrade from one language to a different language. All upgrades must be performed in the same language. All Windows distributions are released with a preinstalled default language. This default language cannot be removed.
